Technology:boon or bane

Technology  refers to the collection of tools  including  machinery, modifications ,arrangement and  the by  human .The human  species  use of  technology  began with  the  conversion   of natural   resources  in to simple   tools. The  pre historic   discovery of how  to control fire  increased the  available  source   of food and the invention  of the wheel helped human to travel from place.

Recent technological developments ,including the printing press,the telephone,and the internet have reduced physical barriers to communication and allowed humans to interact freely on the global scale.Technological advances have shown people a more efficient way to do things.For example,education has been greatly advanced by the use of computers.Students are able to learn on a global scale without even living their classrooms.

Agricultural processes that once required dozens of human workers have now turned mechanized.Thanks to the developments in technology,medical discoveries have also occurred at a much rapid rate.Thanks to machine with internet on the go,it has become very easy to get information at anytime anywhere thanks to smart phones and tablets.

Communication is like water to life.We cannot develop without communication.Communication  technology has blessed with advanced communicating technology tools which include fax machines,electronic mail,mobile phones,video conferencing and social networking sites.We can talk to people all over the world with just a click of a button.

In medicine too,hospitals have implemented modern technology in surgical rooms and disease that were once termed as incurable,are easier to tackle today.

As every coin has two sides ,technology also have its pros and cons .In today’s world everything is more convenient and accessible for all because of technology ,yet it comes with its share of disadvantage

Technology has isolated people socially.people are spending more time playing video games online,and neglecting real life and human contact.Technology has replaced our old ways of interaction.the increased dependency on modern tools like calculators has reduced our creativity .We find students today solving a simple mathematical equation with the calculator.This affects the IQ,the way students use their brain and reduces the level of creativity.Mobile phones can cause cancer if kept next to you over prolonged periods due to intense heat they emanate.working for a long long period of time on computers can affect vision.technology has serious negative impact upon the health and living condition.computers can cause repetitive strain injury,a disease caused due to long working hours on a computer.

Thus,we can conclude that while technology is a boon,we must ensure it has not turn into a bane by using it effectively and fruitfully.
